Projections for live performance are their own discipline. The content has to read from the back of the house, survive being thrown across a moving body, and support the performance instead of competing with it. That’s why very few video production companies do this work.

Imagination + Muscle has created projection content for choreographer Aszure Barton at the English National Ballet (Fantastic Beings), the Bayerisches Staatsballett (Adam Is), the Banff Centre (Awáa), and Theater Kampnagel in Hamburg (Where There's Form, with composer Hauschka).

We shoot original content, edit and grade it for your projection surfaces and lighting conditions, and work directly with your lighting and scenic designers through tech with a projectionist.
