ABOUT US
Tobin Del Cuore
Owner | Producer | Director
After training and performing in theater and dance from a young age, Tobin Del Cuore attended The Juilliard School and went on to become a dancer and trusted collaborator with many of today's most acclaimed choreographers and companies.
In the midst of a successful performing career, Del Cuore began working as a self-trained filmmaker. He then founded his production company Imagination + Muscle in 2011, for which he has produced and directed an extensive body of work, including music videos, commercials, promotional videos, live streams, dance films, and multi-camera live performance captures.
Most recently, Del Cuore has worked extensively with New York City’s 92nd Street Y, directing multicamera shoots of dance performances for the Harkness Mainstage Series and an upcoming documentary film. Short films directed by Del Cuore (Monument, Forgotten Song, The Sky Was Different) have been screened at film festivals worldwide, including the Edmonton International Film Festival, the Toyko International Short Film Festival, Dances With Films LA, and Blow-Up International Arthouse Filmfest Chicago. He has recently co-written a screenplay for his first narrative short film, which is currently in process.
Over the course of his creative career as an artist in various mediums, Tobin has collected a growing community of like-minded individuals who call upon each other to meet the challenge of each new commission. These relationships and varied endeavors continue to push the imagination and build memory in the creative muscle. He applies this massive experience to each creative process.
On a personal note, Del Cuore spends as much time as possible at their home in his native Maine with his husband Boswell and their two Brussels Griffons, Crouton and Onion.

Taryn Kaschock Russell - Client
“As performance art is ephemeral, it is very rarely captured on video in a manner that allows the audience member to experience its immediacy; Tobin and Imagination + Muscle deliver a product which evokes a visceral and emotional experience for the viewer...centering both the artist and the creative intention.”
Annie Rigney - Client
“Having just now, finally watched the footage, I have to say, this is by far the most artfully and masterfully filmed footage of my work that I have ever seen and I could not be more grateful...I feel you completely captured the essence, the feeling, and the magic of the world, and I'm just so impressed with how skillfully you transition between shots, so that we never miss what's happening dramatically or choreographically...It's really so rare that I feel I have good documentation of my work and this is a true gift.”
